A large range of services are available at Gracefield Nursing and Residential Care Home for your comfort and safety. The premises is secure and has newly fitted fire alarm system. Our dedicated domestic staff ensures that the building is clean and tidy at all times with on- site laundry and drying facilities.
Most rooms are also equipped with TV points and all rooms have a nurse call point which offers residents rapid access to carers 24 hours a day. Every room has a wash basin with temperature-controlled taps to prevent scalding, we have a few en-suite rooms that are spacious and comfortable. We encourage our residents to decorate their rooms as they wish to and welcome any belongings and small items of furniture which will help in making their room feel like home.
Residents have access to outdoor space, our residents’ are free to explore our well-maintained gardens or just enjoy some fresh air in our patio area, while enjoying a cup of tea. There is also a summer house that the residents can occupy and also enjoy activities like playing pool, darts or listening to the music through a record player.
Food and Drink
We ensure a healthy variety of food and drinks, seasonality is reflected in our varied menus which is reviewed regularly. We have adapted the menu plan recommended by Alzheimer’s society. Not only do our staff focus on providing nutritious, balanced diets, but they also pay particular attention to specialist needs- whether health related (such as diabetes, swallowing difficulties), cultural and religious needs. Residents have access to snacks and drinks throughout day and night. We make sure that they get sufficient support from the staff to ensure that they had adequate food and drink. Their intake will be monitored if they are at risk of poor nutrition or hydration.
